STEM Education
Development of the STEM education

Our school investigated the possibility of STEM education during the 2017-2018 school year, allowing our students to apply their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics with their creativity to solve daily-life problems through the “DIY” process.

To fulfil our educational purpose, our school applied for Quality Education Fund (QEF) - Extension of the implementation period of the Dedicated Funding Programme for Publicly-funded Schools. Setting up the base of our STEM education – STEM Centre, we have purchased cutting-edge equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters and drones. Moreover, the Computer Literacy Panel re-designed the programme for S2 and S3 during the 2019 – 2020 school year, introducing new technology including the Internet of Things(IOT) and Artificial Intelligence(AI). Being equipped with adequate hardware and software, our school aims to nurture our student's creative thinking and problem-solving skills through different perspectives.

Nevertheless, our school provides vast extra-curricular activities for STEM for students with interests, letting them show their talents. We always hold in-school workshops and competitions for our students to apply what they learn. For inter-school activities, our students have joined many competitions with distinct results. We also visit fellow schools and technology companies for more exposure.
