Reading to Learn

To encourage students to learn through reading, the school organizes various reading promotion programmes and activities, such as "Meet the author" and "We invite you to read a good book", to enhance students’ reading skills and humanistic literacy. The library and English Corner also regularly arrange reading–sharing activities, inviting both teachers and students to participate, in order to nurture students’ interest in and habit of reading.

To support e-learning, the school actively continues to encourage students to read anytime and anywhere through online reading platforms such as HyRead and Library CEO. In addition, a self-service book cabinet is available on campus for students to borrow books.

Every year, the school organizes a Reading Week with different themes, during which various subjects share engaging reading materials, and both teachers and students present their reading insights in the library. In addition, a Reading Stamp Reward Scheme is implemented to encourage students to take an active role in reading activities.

Reading elements have been infused into language and non-language subject curricula to encourage students to learn through reading. In addition, students are provided with opportunities to apply knowledge of related subjects to achieve an in-depth understanding of the reading content based on the objectives of the study.
